The Media Trust is seeking a highly motivated Accountant who will ensure accurately and efficiently maintain accounts payable and receivables, maintain and manage vendor and client databases. The successful candidate will be responsible for auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. Ultimately, providing accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.

The Accountant will also demonstrate excellent communication and a high level of professional service to customers, management, and other staff to effectively, efficiently and successfully administer their duties. Along with management and other functional area stakeholders, the Account will take ownership of many aspects of the accounting department functions. The Accountant must understand and demonstrate expertise in all facets of accounting. 


  • Manage all accounting and financial transactions to include but not limited to: accurate report processing, commission payouts, manage accounting systems by maintaining records, vendor & customer contact databases.
  • Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
  • Publish financial statements in time.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist in the collection efforts of outstanding invoices both with client and outside collection agency.
  • Compiles and bills services to customers based on company billing policies.
  • Assists with budget forecasts, auditing, and preparing documentation and responses for inquiries.
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations
  • Other bookkeeping duties as assigned.


  • Proven 5+ years of work experience as an Accountant/Bookkeeper.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant degree.
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction, follow up on own initiatives and ask questions as needed.
