Senior Product Manager

Job Description

The Media Trust is seeking a highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented Senior Product Manager to join our great team. The ideal candidate will have experience in product development with an emphasis on social networking, community building, and/or risk management. The candidate will manage and ensure successful development and full release cycle of product(s) TMT is developing. The product manager will utilize Scrum and Agile software development methodologies within a fast-paced highly collaborative environment. This is a very exciting field and product to be working on; passion in technology is very important.

The Executive Director/VP Enterprise Sales role is focused on the growth and acquisition of ecommerce and brand accounts for our core lines of business. This requires the development and management of key relationships across a large open field. This position is tasked with executing new account strategies, as well as being a consultative partner to the client and our internal Client Success teams.

Responsibilities

An eye for detail, excellent communication skills, ability to rationalize complex information to make it understandable for others to work, and ability to interrogate reported information and challenge sources where inconsistencies are found. The responsibilities are diverse and include, but are not limited to:

  • Key owner in the development of the newest TMT product.

  • Determine customer needs and desires working with TMT customer success managers, sales, and directly with clients.

  • Manage multiple implementations, clients and organize across teams efficiently and deliver product on time, budget and scope.

  • Be the customer facing manager on implementations and provide insights on product development and improvement.

  • Drive market share by working with marketing and sales to develop product roll out and sales strategies.

  • Encourage and support collaborative development.

  • Track key milestones, scope and consistently monitoring and mitigating risks including tracking competitive products.

  • Create user stories and assign them to sprints based on Scrum methodology based on product roadmap.

  • Organize and lead daily scrum meetings.

  • Assist team members with task definition.

  • Provide input and analysis on user interface design.

  • Drive software testing and documentation.

  • Gather metrics and reports status.

  • A/B test assumptions to prove hypotheses

Requirements

  • Previous experience in managing product development.

  • Ability to quickly switch between clients and understand different needs.

  • Experience in building social networks and communities or similar

  • Experience in risk management or similar

  • Must have a keen interest and eye towards Cyber Security technologies.

  • In depth knowledge of Scrum and implementation of Agile Methodologies.

  • Ability to manage scope, risks and issues across multiple projects.

  • Excellent facilitation skills both internally and externally, skilled at securing stakeholder buy-in.

  • Knowledge of modern software technologies related to development, builds, testing & deployment; basic software technology terms, and the entire software development life cycle.

  • Exceptionally skilled in verbal and written communications.

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years experience managing software products - utilizing Agile & Scrum methodologies.

  • Experience with product roadmap, executing client implementations.

  • Previous experience with Web-based and mobile applications is desirable.

  • Knowledge in Cyber Security is a plus.

  • Direct report management is a plus

  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of successfully leading a project team and serving as a liaison between technical and non-technical staff and clients.
