HR Director

Looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to oversee all aspects of HR in support of corporate management. This individual will be responsible for providing professional, confidential and efficient administrative support of day-to-day people and culture operations in a fast paced security/information technology environment.


  • Develops and administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Maintains integrity and confidentiality of all employee data.
  • Oversees day-to-day HR activities and acts as primary point of contact for HR issues and concerns.
  • Responds to routine inquiries from employees and managers to include, but not limited to: benefits, payroll, and questions regarding human resources policies and procedures.
  • Works with the Executive Team to continually improve an overall talent management strategy including workforce planning; recruiting; hiring; training and development; performance review and improvement; and succession planning.
  • Assesses trends, and recommends compensation structures, incentive plans, benefits programs, and awards for performance excellence.
  • Collaborates with the Executive Team to develop a culture that inspires and fosters a high performance and high employee engagement and retention.
  • Partners with management to provide guidance on sensitive employee matters, coaching and disciplinary processes, and best practices related to performance management.
  • Documents employee grievances. Counsels employees and supervisors, and facilitates conflict resolution.
  • Ensures compliance with all HR policies. Reviews and recommends changes to company policies, procedures and practices to implement industry best practices.
  • Coordinates on-boarding ramp up training plan with hiring manager.
  • Oversees compliance with local, state and federal employment laws and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversees employee safety, welfare, wellness and health.
  • Processes accurate semi-monthly payroll, preparing reports, reviewing payroll account reconciliations, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Manages key benefit programs, and coordinates annual renewal with brokers.
  • Communicates and educates employees on benefit enrollment, changes, renewals, and terminations.
  • Conducts day-to-day administration, processes applications, and ensures completion of requirements.
  • Coordinates recruitment efforts for all positions, working with hiring managers to create job descriptions, writes and places ads, screens, interviews, checks references and recommends qualified candidates.
  • Facilitates and tracks completion of on-boarding paperwork, benefit election forms and necessary forms/documentation required for payroll. Conducts HR/Benefits orientations with all new employees
  • Facilitates and tracks completion of off-boarding
  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • 5+ years’ experience in a Human Resources Generalist capacity
  • Experience in the security/information technology sector
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Accredited HR certification a plus
  • Experience processing payroll for a mid-size company
  • Self-motivated, driven, and with a willingness to go above and beyond
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a constantly changing environment
  • Recognize when extra time is required to complete a project and be willing to put in the hours
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Google Docs and Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
